In the autumn of 2026, Haninge Municipality will open a completely new resource school, and we are now looking for a counselor who wants to help build a school where students with extensive support needs have the best possible conditions to succeed. The school is centrally located in Handen, near the commuter train station. The new resource school will replace previously locally placed learning studios in the municipality, with the goal of gathering expertise and resources under one roof to create a more cohesive and powerful operation.
Your mission as a counselor is to work together with other professionals within student health to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning. The work is preventive, promoting, and remedial. You are an integral part of the effort to reach every student and collaborate with other staff at the school. You will also initiate contact with both students and guardians. You are an active part of the students' school day and are present in learning situations as well as in social break situations with the students.
You will work at the individual, group, and organizational levels and will be heavily involved in the work concerning individual students and teaching groups to create a functioning and sustainable school situation. The work includes, among other things, observations, consultations, and guidance for staff, as well as student-centered work throughout the students' school day and social interactions. Together with other professionals in student health, you will collaborate with relevant contacts outside the school to support the student's learning and contribute your psychosocial perspective. You will be a key person in the school's work with values and equal treatment and will work preventively and proactively regarding bullying issues.

- You are a social worker or have another relevant education.

Meritorious:
- Previous work as a counselor or with children and young people in need of special support
- Previous work with applied behavior analysis or positive behavior support in a school environment
- CBT Level 1
- Experience with documentation in the Prorenata journal system
